Hancock plays all out

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - One prospect that has steadily moved up the rankings so far is St. Augustine wide receiver Quintin Hancock. Rivals.com was on hand for St. Augustine vs. First Coast Friday and after a two hour lightning delay Hancock finally led his team onto the field.
"It was crazy because we had to go through that big weather delay," Hancock said. "It was great to come out here and get our first win though. I am just ready for the next game now, that is what I am focused on."

The 6-foot-2, 182-pound Hancock attended the NIKE camp in Tallahassee where he ran the 40-yard dash in 4.51 seconds, the shuttle in 4.19 seconds and posted a 20-inch vertical jump.
"I get all my pub on offense, but I like defense just as much," Hancock said. "I love hitting and I run to the ball and stay all over my man. On offense I have good size so I can use my body and I have a real good jump."
Hancock is ranked as the No. 47 player in the state of Florida and is ranked as the No. 44 wide receiver in the nation by Rivals.com.
"I like Nebraska," Hancock said. "They have a good program and a new coach and they are going to be really good. They told me that they need some wide receivers to come in and step up for them. I know they have won a lot of national championships too.
I really like the staff at Auburn a lot. I will be watching them closely this year. They have a nice mixture of run and pass and I really like their offensive schemes. I am also looking at Clemson, Maryland, Iowa and Florida."
Hancock may have a short list, but don't expect a decision anytime soon.
"I plan on taking all of my visits and checking everything out first," Hancock said. "I'm not in a rush or anything like, I want to take my time and make the right decision."
