Hampton prepping for junior day rush

As one of the top prospects in Texas, Dallas (Texas) Carter 2014 linebacker Cameron Hampton has been fielding interest from college programs across the country.
He already counts offers from Clemson, LSU, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Texas and several others. This week he has welcomed a few visitors by the school. Mack Brown and Bruce Chambers of Texas both stopped by Carter on Monday, Baylor's Brian Norwood came through on Tuesday, and on Wednesday it was Glenn Spencer of Oklahoma State who pulled into the parking lot.

Hampton plans to attend Junior Days at all three programs. First up will be a trip to Waco for Baylor's on February 2, then he thought Oklahoma State's might fall on February 7 before he heads to Austin for a trip to Texas on February 10.
Texas A&M is another program of interest, but he does not have a visit scheduled to College Station at this time. There was a time not so long ago where it appeared Hampton might make a commitment to the Aggies, but it looks like that is now on hold.
"I don't know, the coach told me they were full so I couldn't commit," Hampton said.
The Aggies are still at the top of his early list with Oklahoma State and Ohio State rounding out his early top three. He plans to visit Stillwater for the Cowboys junior day and also plans to check out Columbus, Ohio sometime soon.
"I think I'm going to go up there in the summer time but I'm not sure yet," Hampton said. "I've been talking with coach Vrabel lately and he said he's going to try and stop by Friday."
It is still early in the process, and Hampton is looking forward to checking out a few of his options. As for a decision, he is not in a hurry to rush the process.
"No sir, I'm going to wait until next year," Hampton said.
