Hamm takes an unofficial

Defensive end Marquise Hamm was scheduled to visit Colorado on September 1st for an official visit. The 6-foot-4, 216-pounder didn't make it on that trip and considered going again this past week. Rivals caught up with Hamm to find out what's going on.
"I can't get a good date in yet," he said. "I'm rescheduling the visit to Colorado, it's difficult since almost have of our games are on Saturdays."

While he hasn't taken an official, Hamm made an appearance at Rutgers first game.
"It was great," he said. "The game was good and I liked the crowd. They showed a lot of support and love.
"I even talked to some of the players there including Tiquan Underwood who is my cousin and Patrick Brown. I was just trying to get to know the other players there."
Right now, Hamm believes he may take in a couple more Rutgers games this season. Up to this point, the Scarlet Knights haven't offered the two-star prospect.
"I talked to coach Susan and it seems I may have a verbal," he said. "They want to see my grades after this marking period before they officially offer."
The No. 23 prospect in New Jersey will open the season this weekend against Teaneck.
"I'm working out with my team getting ready," he said. "We need to come together and be more focused. I think we're almost there. I think we'll be there before this week is out. The whole team is realizing what we have at stake and knows we can win a championship.
"I've seen a big improvement in my athleticism. I don't get tired anymore because our coaches are running us a lot."
