Hamm getting big attention

Red Oak, Texas, offensive tackle Anthony Hamm is a big, big man. So it's no surprise at all that's receiving big, big attention from the college coaches.
Hamm, who measured in at 6-foot-6 and 354 pounds at the Rivals.com Junior Day in Dallas, still is searching for his first offer, but there appear to be a lot of teams very interested in the all-district selection.

"I've been receiving four or five letters a day lately," he said. "I've been getting stuff from Florida, Kansas, Texas A&M, UCF and Nebraska. Most of the teams sending me letters are teams I'm interested in. I'd go to pretty much any of them.
"I went to A&M probably a month ago for an unofficial visit. I took my ACT last weekend so after that gets cleared I'll be able to start taking my unofficial visits."
Hamm has plans for a busy summer.
"I'll probably be going to one day senior camps at Oklahoma, Texas, Kansas, Florida, and A&M," he said. "I'll probably be able to make all five of those."
Hamm would like to make an early decision if the right offer and the right program come along.
"I'm going to be looking at what type of football program the school is on top of what they do academically," he said. "I want a place with good academics and football. I don't think depth charts or distance will be very important.
"Preferably I'd like to get my decision over with before my senior season. If camps go well maybe I can get it done early with an offer. The majority of the colleges sending me mail, if they offered, I'd probably go ahead and make my decision on the spot. I'd ask my mom what she thought, but I could see myself getting it out of the way."
