Hamilton recaps Purdue official

Orlando (Fla.) Olympia safety Corian Hamilton recently took his second official visit, traveling to Purdue for their game against Michigan.
"As for football-wise, they had a good, decent crowd, the football team is young," Hamilton said. "School-wise, I toured the school, the dorms, academic center, all of that stuff is five minutes away. It is walking distance from everything. I wouldn't have to drive anywhere. I like that, that everything is right there and anything I need I can walk and go get it."

During the visit, the 6-foot-2, 219-pound senior defensive prospect had an opportunity to speak with a few members of the Boilermakers' coaching staff.
"I talked with Coach (Gary) Emanuel and the head coach, Coach (Danny) Hope," Hamilton said. "We talked about how with my size and versatility I can play a few different positions. He also said that with me being from Florida I would fit into that secondary, because their secondary is from Florida. He just talked about how it would be a good fit for me."
Hamilton's first official visit was to West Virginia, his current leader, and he is preparing to hit the road again in two weeks for what may possibly be his third official visit.
"I am going to South Florida on December 3rd," Hamilton said. "I don't know if that will be an official or an unofficial."
The three-star defender talked a bit about what he is hearing from Skip Holtz' program.
"I have been talking with Todd Fitch and the defensive coordinator (Mark Snyder)," Hamilton said. "They have basically been talking to me about how it is close to home, how I could get a lot of playing time my first year, stuff like that."
In addition to West Virginia, Purdue, and South Florida, Hamilton says that Connecticut also remains in the picture. He does not have a timeline for a decision at this point.
Olympia's season concluded with an opening round playoff loss to Orlando (Fla.) Dr. Phillips last weekend.
