Hamilton praises Pac-12 visit

Davir Hamilton took a visit to Utah over the weekend, the Utes are one of his early favorites, and his trip did nothing but solidify his interest in the Pac-12 school.
On Sunday, the Compton (Calif.) Verbum Dei three-star athlete had just returned from Utah in time for the Tom Lemming photo shoot at UCLA and had really positive things to say about his trip.

"Utah was great," Hamilton said. "I saw a lot of things and I really got to know the coaches better. I saw a lot of competitiveness and how they actually built things up.
"They were just telling me they haven't really decided which position I'm going to play. They were just showing me some more things. I was moving around and watching the team scrimmage."
Utah definitely impressed the 6-foot-2, 204-pound prospect but Hamilton said he is in no rush to make a commitment. Washington State and Illinois are also among his favorites and the Verbum Dei prospect wants to see what else happens in his recruitment.
"I'm not in a rush to make a commitment now," Hamilton said. "I'm just waiting to see what's right. I'm probably not going to commit even until signing day."
Colorado State, Oregon State, San Diego State, San Jose State, UNLV and Wyoming have also offered Hamilton, who could play linebacker or wide receiver in college. He plans to take an unofficial trip over to UCLA on Wednesday and he hopes to see some other schools in the coming months.
"I'm going to plan some in the future, probably during the summer and maybe a few more in the spring," Hamilton said. 'I'm not rushing anything. I'm taking my time with everything."
