Hamilton focusing on recruiting

Five-star defensive end Darius Hamilton of Ramsey (N.J.) Don Bosco Prep has kept a hectic calendar during the last few weeks, but now with National Signing Day a little more than two weeks away, he has once again fully turned his attention to recruiting.
In San Antonio, during U.S. Army All-American Bowl week, rumors surfaced that Hamilton may have scheduled a return visit to Florida to show his mother around campus. While those rumors were confirmed, plans did not work out for Hamilton.

"My mom couldn't make it down, but she loves all the coaches so it wasn't a big thing," said Hamilton.
Florida may have missed out on an opportunity to host Hamilton on an unofficial visit, but Hamilton will have a chance to host the Florida coaching staff tonight, along with another in-home visit later this week.
"Coach Muschamp and Coach Quinn are coming from Florida today, Rutgers is coming on Wednesday and that's it so far," said Hamilton.
Hamilton will follow up his in-home visit with Rutgers by taking his third official visit this coming weekend to check out the Scarlet Knights. Hamilton has been a frequent visitor to his in-state university over the last few months.
"Like you said, I've been there a lot so I know the place, but I am very excited for the visit," said Hamilton, who shared what excites him about the upcoming visit. "Just to hang out with the other recruits and get to know some more players on the team."
Aside from Rutgers and Florida, California continues to be very much in the picture for Hamilton and he will take an official visit to Miami on Jan. 27 as well. He will make his final decision on January 31st.
