Hamilton breaks down top three

Davir Hamilton continues to pick up offers and the Compton (Calif.) Verbum Dei three-star athlete said he has a top three at this point.
Washington State, Illinois and Utah stand out the most to Hamilton and the 6-foot-2, 204-pound standout said he's planning to meet with the Utes this week.

He's definitely looking forward to the visit since he talks to the coaches so often.
"I'm taking an unofficial visit to Utah (this) week," Hamilton said.
"At the spring game there are going to be more recruits and I just want to be by myself. I want to get to know the coaches more. I already talk to them on a daily basis but I want to get to know them more. I want to know more about the school and the stadium."
The Cougars and Illini also look good in his recruitment especially since both teams are trying to rebuild and be competitive in their respective conferences.
"I watched Illinois as a kid," Hamilton said. "They've always been right there but they're trying to get better so they could compete with Ohio State, Michigan, Penn State and Wisconsin. Washington State is trying to get better, too, so they're standing out to me."
Hamilton, who regularly visits USC and is planning to visit UCLA possibly twice this week, has been picking up offers quickly. He has a firm top three but said he's open to other programs as well as his recruitment continues.
"I got offered by Colorado State and Illinois all in the same week," Hamilton said. "I'm hearing from new schools every day but I'm trying to build relationships more than just them offering me. I'm going to wait until my senior year to make a decision."
