Hamdan Picks Up 1st Offer

Bush Hamdan, a 6-0, 200 pound quarterback from Arlington (VA) Bishop O'Connell is a quarterback we really liked last summer at various Nike football camps as well as the EA SPORTS Elite 11 workout in Las Vegas. For reasons we couldn't figure out, Hamdan has not been receiving much Div I interest but finally picked up his fist offer last night.
"Boise State just offered me and I'm taking a visit there this weekend," Hamdan said. "If I like it, which I expect to, I'm planning to commit on the trip. I'm so excited right now and just so relieved. I was looking at San Diego because of Jim Harbaugh and I was going to take a visit this weekend but I called him and told him about Boise State and he understood.

"I've heard so many good things about Boise State. They're coming off back to back top 20 finishes, have a great offense to play in and I hear the area is nice too. My older brother (Gibran- backup QB with Washington Redskins) is going with me so it should be fun. Things weren't looking good for awhile now but now I just feel energized and can't wait to get out there."
Hamdan had a solid senior season throwing for 2,080 yards and 22 touchdowns. He was set to visit UCLA two weeks ago but the Bruins canceled his trip late in the week. He was also hearing from Virginia, Maryland and Penn State early on in the year but had not been offered until the Broncos stepped up this week.
