Hall talks about commitment

Chesapeake (Va.) Western Branch linebacker Vince Hall talked about his recent commitment.
"It was a hard, hard decision but it just came down to feeling more comfortable at Virginia Tech," said the 6-foot-1, 230-pounder who chose the Hokies over North Carolina at noon today. "I really liked both places and UNC is trying to build the team of the future with this recruiting class which was tempting, but I felt I could step in just as quickly at Tech and win a few more games early."

At one point, the Tar Heels might have led for Hall's services.
"The facilities and the area at UNC -- it's amazing," he said. "You can see why they have a great recruiting class and why they'll be successful there. Coach Bunting is a great guy. If I didn't feel so at home at Tech already, I would have gone there."
However, Tech was the place for Hall in the end.
"I can't describe the feeling," he said. "The moment I stepped on that campus, I felt like I belonged. Tech is a school that is on the brink of a huge season and they'll be a great school down the line. Winning is important to me and the Hokies have a great tradition."
