Hall is headed to Ole Miss

As you see in the image above, Hamilton Hall was all smiles in Oxford.

The 6-foot-5, 325 pound offensive lineman out of Chamblee (Ga.) took his official visit to Ole Miss over the weekend and he planned to return home, talk things over with his family, likely visit one more school, then announce his decision on Signing Day.

But things changed over the weekend and before he left Oxford, Hall's mind was made up.

"I committed to Ole Miss today because I just don't like to play around," said Hall. "I don't want to mess with schools and lead them on. When that fit is for you, in my opinion, it's best to make that move, and that's exactly what I did."

Hall revealed his commitment to the public Monday, but head coach Matt Luke and his staff got the news 24 hours earlier.

The decision was easy for the Peach State lineman.

"From the moment I stepped on campus, I felt at home. Coaches, players, community, all welcomed me with open arms.

"I told coach Luke and coach Bick (Jack Bicknell, offensive line) Sunday when I met with them before leaving and they were really excited. Coach Bick was especially excited. He's really looking forward to working with me."

Louisville, Memphis, Missouri and Nebraska gave Hall something to think about and those four were finalists for him, but Ole Miss gave him that feeling he had felt nowhere else.

"I am 100-percent committed to Ole Miss and I done with the recruiting process," said Hall. "The main thing that put Ole Miss over the other schools was the environment. They way the coaches, players, and people of Oxford interacted with each other was different."

This was a dream come true for one of the best in Georgia. He has worked hard to get here and he doesn't plan to slow down any time soon. This is just one more thing checked off of Hall's list.

"Playing football in the SEC was always my dream. And it's finally fulfilled. Now it's on to the next one. I plan to do things bigger than all, and pave my own path to success."
