Marshville (N.C.) Forest Hills defensive tackle Marque Hall took advantage of the long weekend last weekend and took that time to see two of his favorite schools. He kept it all in his home state and took back-to-back visits to North Carolina, then NC State.
“I went to North Carolina Friday through Sunday, and NC State Sunday and Monday,” explained The Rivals100 No. 83 prospect and the nation’s No. 10 defensive tackle. “They were both pretty much the same.
“UNC went well. NC State was shorter, but it was good too. They were so close. It was the same. I am just tired from it all.”
The 6-foot-5, 305-pound, who runs the 40-yard dash in 4.8 seconds, was hosted by freshman defensive tackle Isaiah Thomas on his North Carolina visit and by offensive lineman Derek Morris at NC State. He rated both trips an eight, and due to the whirlwind experience, nothing from either school in particular stood out to him.
Hall has now been to North Carolina, NC State, and South Carolina, and will visit Tennessee on Jan. 23 and Virginia Tech on Jan. 30. He lists these schools, along with Virginia, as his top six schools. He said he will know which school is right for him when he gets that “gut feeling,” but plans to wait on an announcement until Signing Day.
