Hall amazed at MSU experience

Saturday's showdown of Top 10 teams in East Lansing gave Michigan State the opportunity to host a large contingent of recruits. Oak Park, Mich. 2017 offensive tackle Ja'Raymond Hall was one of those in attendance.

"That was my first Michigan State game," Hall noted. "I always have been a fan of Michigan State as a kid, so it was big. They have die-hard fans, and watching the game I was amazed."
Michigan State is not one of the six schools that have offered Hall, but the Spartans have been in close contact with the three-star offensive tackle for the last several months.
"I have been getting a lot of mail and Sept. 1 interest from the coaches," Hall said. "When I went up to the camp I did really good and they really liked me at the camp. We have been in touch pretty heavily since."
The big number of recruits in attendance Saturday meant time for interaction with the coaches was limited, but Hall was able to speak with a few before kickoff.
"I saw Coach (Mark) Dantonio before he went back with the team," Hall said. "When we were on the field I talked to Coach (Mark) Staten briefly and Coach (Curtis) Blackwell, but there were a lot of people there. They were asking how my team's season has been."
Next on the schedule for Hall is a visit to the other in-state Big Ten program, which has offered him a scholarship.
"I am trying to make the Michigan game this week," Hall said. "The chemistry has been there as soon as they offered me. I always like going out to Ann Arbor, spending time with the coaches and I really enjoyed watching them practice (last month)."
The 6-foot-5, 255-pound Hall is playing both tackle positions for Oak Park this season. He is ranked as the No. 33 player at that position in the 2017 class and the No. 9 overall player in the state of Michigan.
