Hale cancels first official

Five-star linebacker Shayne Hale out of Monroeville (Pa.) Gateway was expected to take his first official visit of the season last weekend. The 6-foot-3, 225-pounder planned to make his way to Charlottesville, but didn't make the trip.
"I didn't go, it didn't work out," he said. "I'm not sure if I'm going to reschedule. If I do, it'll be a lot later in the season or afterwards."

At this time, Hale confirmed his only other visit planned in the future is an official on October 19th to West Virginia.
Recruiting has taken a back seat since Hale confirmed his four finalists, Michigan, Ohio State, Virginia and West Virginia.
"I'm going to deal with recruiting later down the line."
Meanwhile, the Rivals100 prospect has helped his team to a 3-1 record so far this year.
"Our team is having fun and we have an old team that is full of talented players," he stated. "I feel I'm doing well, but I really can't do nearly as much since I've made the move to defensive end from linebacker.
"The adjustment has been alright. I don't like that as much. I like to play anywhere on the field and I'm just trying to help my team."
