Hakes wants to do a little showing off

After sharing time at quarterback last year, the 6-foot-3, 182-pound signal caller Sean Hakes of Ft. Worth (Texas) Nolan Catholic is ready to take the reigns of his offense and of his recruitment as well.
Two verbal offers have come in from Colorado State and Ole Miss while many other schools are just waiting for more film to arrive. UCLA, Wisconsin, and Miami of Ohio liked the little they saw last year and want to see more film from this year when Hakes is in full control.

"Those are three big ones for me," Hakes said about the three interested programs. "Especially UCLA and Wisconsin because those are two places that I'd fit in with not only at the specific schools but with those offenses."
Hakes however will not jump to any conclusions about his big decision.
"I'm sitting on things right now though because I want to weigh all of my options," Hakes said. "I haven't started a full season yet so it's important for me to focus on my team. Now I'm the man and it's not a ton of pressure because I have a lot of things to bring to the table for my team."
His decision will not be coming any time soon with all focus on his teammates and their success. Hakes would also like to see his two verbal offers turn to written ones.
"They both want to see my game film from this year like the others," Hakes said. "I'm very excited about the opportunity there, but they're waiting on the same things that other schools are at this point."
It would appear that this quarterback has some stuff to work with on the roster but also must make the hurdles every team does at the beginning of the year.
"There are some weak spots on the team because we're young," Hakes said about Nolan Catholic. "Overall though I think we're looking pretty good so far with practices and everything starting to finish up."
