Hakes narrows focus to pair of teams

Things are getting shaved down for Fort Worth (Texas) Nolan Catholic pro-style quarterback Sean Hakes who has sifted through the offers and has a pretty solid top two.
Hakes, a 6-foot-3, 182-pound rising senior, says that the other schools aren't out of it, but Bowling Green and Akron are apparently leading for his services.

"Those are really the two schools that I'm most interested in," Hakes said. "I'm going to Akron this weekend (Dec. 2) and Bowling Green the next weekend (Dec. 9). I want to make my decision soon and I want go see what those teams are like. They really do well in developing quarterbacks."
Hakes says that the other schools aren't out of the race.
"Not every school has dropped," Hakes said. "I mean Oregon is a school I talk to a lot along with Iowa. Ole Miss and Colorado State are kind of lower on my list now."
Aside from recruitment, the season ended very well for the two-star sleeper.
"Well, we won state against Trinity Christian Academy," Hakes said. "It was in double overtime. We were tied up 15-15 at the end of the game and we scored in the second overtime after they kicked a field goal. I got the MVP and it was awesome. I can focus on my recruitment a lot more now and I want to get that done."
