Haden trims list to three

Rivals250 running back Josh Haden is quickly closing in on a final decision. The 5-foot-7, 190-pounder out of Fort Washington (Md.) Friendly has cut his list down to three finalists. Who is still in the running?
"Right now I'm planning on taking a couple visits next month and those will be my last trips," he said. ""I'm planning visits to Boston College on June 16th and then sometime after that to Michigan. Then after that, I'm going to make a decision before football season starts.

"I think after I take that Michigan trip I'll sit down with my parents and talk about it. I think then I'll have my mind made up and be able to put my decision down on the table."
Haden is down to Florida, Boston College and Michigan. What has put each school in his final list?
"Boston College is in there definitely because of the coaches," he said. "I have a really good relationship with them and I like the new scheme they have. It's a running offense this year and it's even better with two senior backs leaving.
"My brother goes to Florida and they are a great place with terrific coaches. The football team won the national championship and they have a lot of good athletes. It's just a great school in general and a good situation for me.
"Finally, Michigan is a running back school. I haven't had the chance to talk to a lot of their coaches, but once I go down and see the school I think that'll help me with my decision. They have offered me a scholarship now too and it's a good situation for me as well."
Wherever Haden chooses he knows it will not come easy.
"I understand everywhere I go I'm going to have to fight for a position," he said. "I'm actually taking some school this summer so I can graduate early and get a head start on everyone else. That'll give me a good chance to play as a freshman."
