Hackney still in love with UofH

He's ranked as one of the top fullbacks in the nation, and he's already made his oral commitment. So what's the latest on three-star fullback Cameron Hackney of Jacksonville, Texas?
"We won our first game 32-14," Hackney said. "I didn't play offense, really. I sometimes play H-back, which is like a tight end, wide receiver and a running back all in one. But I just played defensive tackle and made 11-tackles with two tackles-for-loss and two assisted tackles. "

Hackney, who is 6-foot-3 and 245 pounds, said he's seen some vast improvement in his game over last season.
"I understand the game more this year than I did last year," he said. "Plus, I've gotten faster and stronger. I just feel like I'm a step above everyone else right now."
Hackney originally committed to Houston early in the recruiting process, but the big question is whether or not other teams are going to chase after him still.
"I'm still committed to Houston," he said. "I feel pretty good about that commitment right now. They want me to play the H-Back position, because they pretty much play the same offense as my high school team does. So it would be a good thing so I wouldn't have to learn a whole new offense."
"I talk to Houston coaches all the time. We write letters to each other, and I call them sometimes. My relationship with the coaches is real good. I like them a lot."
Hackney said he still does think about others from time to time.
"I've been getting mail form LSU and Colorado State, but I don't think I want to go there," he said. "If Texas A&M started recruiting me things may change. Maybe Miami or someone like that, too. Right now I am happy with my decision, though.
"I doubt the coaches want me to take any visits, but I want to. It matters who I hear from and how everything goes over the next couple months. I'm not having second thoughts, though. I love the coaches, and I love Houston."
