Gwaltney says its down to two

Long Island (N.Y.) North Babylon running back Jason Gwaltney has narrowed his choices down to two schools and will make his announcement on ESPNews on Feb. 1.
"It's down to Ohio State and Southern Cal," said the 6-foot-0, 234-pounder. "I've had coaches from OSU, USC, Boston College, West Virginia, Penn State and others in school the last couple of days and it's been crazy. After meeting with all of them, I decided I'll choose between the Buckeyes and Trojans."

Gwaltney had been a West Virginia commitment at one point, but told the coaches on Wednesday that he will not be coming.
"It's a variety of reasons," he said. "I'll leave it at that."
And Boston College tried to get in the mix late in the game.
"I just felt it was better to focus on the teams I've liked for a long time and the coaches I've known for awhile," he said. "I don't want to confuse things any more."
Is there a leader between the two schools left on his list?
"No, it's pretty even," he said. "USC is pulling in a ton of talent and will be a national title contender forever it seems while Ohio State is going to be good next year and I could probably play earlier."
Gwaltney was named the Rivals.com Offensive MVP for the East team in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl this past weekend.
