Gumbita schedules an official

Offensive tackle Rob Gumbita out of Mount Pleasant, Pa. has scheduled his first official visit of the season. The 6-foot-4, 298-pounder plans to take the trip in early December. Where is he looking to go?
"I have an official set to Buffalo on December 8th," he said. "That is the only one planned as of now.

"I want to go there since they are an up and coming program and doing well this year. Turner Gill has them going in the right direction and it's a nice school and campus."
While Buffalo is the only official, Gumbita is planning to take more visits.
"I'm looking at a bunch of schools, but nothing else is set," he said. "Villanova, Pittsburgh, West Virginia, Boston College and Indiana all want me to come up for games. I definitely want to go out and take some of those."
Is there a favorite for the Keystone State lineman at this time?
"I'm waiting it out to see and sending more film to schools, but I'd say Buffalo is my favorite so far."
The two-star prospect has helped his team to a 7-2 record so far this season.
"We clinched home field advantage in the first round of the playoffs and this is our second year we're undefeated in conference," he said. "I feel this year we can go pretty far.
"I've been doing really well. I moved from defensive tackle to defensive end and that has paid off. I have a bunch of tackles and three sacks. I've definitely seen an improvement on both sides. My pass blocking is stronger and I'm more comfortable with all the experience I have."
