Gulley taking his time

Akron (Ohio) Garfield running back Tyson Gulley is focusing on his senior season, and has yet to narrow down his list of college choices.
In a 40-12 win over Akron North High School on Saturday, Gulley had a hand in five touchdowns in four different ways. He rushed for two scores, threw for another, took an interception back for a touchdown, and also caught a touchdown pass.

Gulley has offers from several MAC schools, as well as Kansas and Syracuse.
"The MAC schools are recruiting me the hardest right now, and Syracuse is recruiting me hard as well," Gulley said. "I don't have any favorites, and I haven't really narrowed anything down."
Gulley has not solidified any official visit dates yet.
"I am going to the Bowling Green-Boise State game unofficially this Saturday," Gulley said. "I am going to officially visit Toledo sometime in early October."
Gulley said he would like to make his decision after the season, and hopes to make a couple of official visits during the season.
"I am looking for a good football program and a good school," Gulley said. "I am looking for someplace that if I don't make it in football, I can still get a good degree and keep moving forward. I am just looking for a place that fits me, that I am comfortable at for the next four or five years."
Whatever program lands Gulley will get a play-maker on offense, and a hard worker that is willing to do the dirty work on special teams.
"I like playing fast paced, hard nosed football. I just play with the attitude when I am on the field I can not be stopped. I also love special teams, it is one of the biggest parts of the game. You get to make things happen, and I like hitting people.
Gulley reports that he has taken part in nine touchdowns this year. In addition to last Saturday's numbers against North, he has three additional scoring runs and a blocked kick taken back for a score. He also has 35 tackles and three interceptions in four games.
