Guidry keeping things quiet

La Marque, Texas defensive end Raphael Guidry and his team have blazed through the non-district schedule to a 3-0 record. On the recruiting front, very little has changed as his focus is squarely on the upcoming games for his team.
The 6-foot-4, 220-pound strongside defensive end has picked up offers from Baylor, Iowa State, Kansas State, Oklahoma State, and UTEP. Though no new ones have come to his door, he's got one official visit set up and looking at some others.
"Well, I set Kansas State up a while ago and that's still the same (Nov. 11)," Guidry said about his first scheduled trip. "I'm also looking at getting out to Baylor and Iowa State. There will be others, but I don't know who those might be right now."
When asked to name a favorite, Guidry says that all of the teams that have offered or that are showing interested are "about the same right now."
"I won't have a decision until after the season," he said. "We're just focused on the season."
That season has included wins against some top teams such as Nederland, Galveston Ball, and La Porte.
"Ball is one of our biggest rivals and we came out there and played real well," he said. "Everything has been going well for us but we have to keep working."
