GT getting involved with Earls

It took a stellar performace at the Athens NIKE camp to put him on the recruiting map, but now Macon (Ga.) Central wide receiver Corey Earls is trying to move up the charts.
"I didn't go to any games this past weekend," Earls said. "I was just busy and didn't have a chance to make it. This upcoming weekend I am going to try to go to the Georgia Tech game. I will try to make several games at places this year."

The 6-foot-0, 177-pound Earls attended the Athens NIKE camp where he ran the 40-yard dash in 4.36 seconds, the shuttle in 4.37 seconds and posted a 31-inch vertical jump.
"I have gotten calls from Georgia Tech and Marshall so far this month," Earls said. "Georgia Tech has started recruiting me pretty hard lately. Marshall is still my only offer and they are showing me a lot of love still."
During his junior campaign Earls caught 30 passes for 504 yards and six touchdowns, averaging 16.8 yards per catch.
"Marshall and Georgia Tech are my top two schools right now," Earls said. "Both of those are very interested in me and they seem like a place I would like to go to school. Auburn, Clemson and Georgia are the other schools that are in my top five."
Whoever gets Earls on campus for an official visit first may have the inside track to his signature.
"I want to take a visit to a school before I commit to them," Earls said. "I'm not in a hurry to commit but if I really felt comfortable there I could commit. Marshall told me that next time they called that they may try and set up my visit with them."
