Gronkowski sets announcement date

ORLANDO, Fla. - The nation's No. 4 ranked tight end, Rob Gronkowski, is a big target at 6-foot-6. He is getting a chance to show his talents at the East Meets West All-American game this week.

Shortly after the Jan. 6 game this weekend, this Rivals250 tight end will be making his decision.

"I plan on committing on Jan. 10," Gronkowski said. "I am down to Arizona, Ohio State, Clemson, and Syracuse. Those are my final four.

"I have already visited Clemson, Ohio State, and Syracuse. I don't have anymore visits scheduled and I don't think I will be taking anymore before I commit."

Does one school lead?

"No sir, they are even right now."

There have been several solid days for the talented tight end. After getting in rhythm, Gronkowski says that he has a better feel for things on Thursday.

"Wednesday, I came out and didn't play as well as I wanted to," said Gronkowski. "I was learning plays, getting used to the offense, and I had sneakers on all day too, so I didn't play as well as I could.

"I think I came out and played one-hundred percent better today. I got my spikes in, caught some passes, and played more up to my potential today."

Gronkowski thinks he will have a chance to show his talents this week.

"I think I will have a chance to block and catch passes during the game," he said. "We throw the ball a lot and I have been getting a lot of balls thrown my way all week, so I am looking forward to making some plays."
