Gronkowski cancels first official

Four-star tight end Rob Gronkowski out of Pittsburgh (Pa.) Woodland Hills has two schools in mind for official visits to this point. The 6-foot-6, 232-pounder had one of the trips scheduled in the next couple weeks, but has had to change his plans.
"I was planning to go to Arizona on September 22nd for an official, but I've had to change that and now I have nothing set up," he said. "I'm going week by week as far as officials go, but the first couple I'll probably take will be to Clemson and Arizona.

"I like those schools because they have been recruiting me the hardest lately and throughout the process. They have good programs that really interest me too."
Four other schools still in the mix for Gronkowski include Syracuse, Ohio State, North Carolina and Maryland.
"All those schools have been recruiting me pretty well too and I like them a lot," he said. "My plan is still to take all five official visits. The rest of the trips will likely be after the season and right now nobody stands out."
One new school may have jumped into the mix in the last week.
"I just got offered by Louisville recently and it's pretty nice there," he said. "I might consider them to add to my list. I like the school a lot and they have a very interesting program."
The No. 7 tight end in the country is still adjusting to his new team at Woodland Hills.
"It's been different, but a lot of fun," he said. "I like it here a lot and I'm enjoying myself. Our team is really good. Everyone around me is a great caliber player and I think I'm doing pretty well too.
"I couldn't play in the first game of the season, but in the second I had one catch for 15-yards and six pancake blocks. I can tell that I've really improved in my blocking this season. It's gotten a lot better."
