Grizzard hopes for offers at camps

After a solid showing recently at the Adidas Camp at NC State, safety Josh Grizzard believes he's close to receiving his first offer. Which schools does the 6-foot-3, 187-pounder out of Zebulon (N.C.) East Wake believe are close to offering?
"I went to the Adidas camp last week and worked out at quarterback," he said. "I felt like I threw pretty well and showed I can play quarterback as well as safety in college. I think I displayed good footwork in the ladders and played well in one-on-ones. I think the main thing I've got to work on is getting my technique down."

On the recruiting front, quite a few schools are showing interest.
"It's been going well," he said. "I've been in contact with coach O'Cain from Virginia Tech, Duke's coaches, East Carolina, North Carolina State, Elon and Yale," he said. "I'm planning to go to camps at Duke and ECU in June and Virginia Tech in July.
"Nobody has offered yet, but I feel strong if I do well in camps the offers will come. I would say the closest schools to offering me right now are Duke and East Carolina. They are talking to me the most and sending me handwritten stuff."
At this time, Grizzard claims there are no leaders.
"The school I'm looking for will fit my style of play on offense or defense and showcase my abilities. I want somewhere I'll stand out in their schemes. In camps, I just want to see how I react with the coaches."
