Grixby enjoys trip to Manhattan
Omaha (Neb.) Central cornerback Cortney Grixby had been scheduled to visit Iowa State over the weekend. But, those plans changed.
“I was at Kansas State this weekend,” the 5-foot-9, 160-pound Grixby said. “The visit went really good. I have not set a date for an Iowa State visit.”

Grixby enjoyed his time with the players and coaches while in Manhattan.
“The whole town is a really nice family atmosphere. The coaches and players had a really good chemistry and it showed. I also was very impressed with the academic side of things.”
Grixby anticipates making a decision in January.
“I’m not going to rush it. I want to make sure I make the right choice. Kansas State is right up there high on my list. Nebraska is there too, still. I haven’t heard anything on what they are doing for a coach. But, I think they’d have to do something soon, or they’ll start to lose recruits.”
