Recently a number of juniors visited Pittsburgh to get a closer look at the Panthers. Among them was Mike Grimm.
"I had a lot of fun that day," said the 6-foot-7, 315-pound Grimm. "We all ate breakfast together, did a tour of the facilities, went to a basketball game and toured Heinz field. I talked with Coach Hueber, Coach Chryst, Coach Rudolph and pretty much every coach on staff.
"I did talk with some of the other high school recruits but there is still that high school rivalry," he said. "We can have fun and hang out but until this season is over that rivalry is still there."

The offensive lineman from Bethel Park (Pa.) has six offers the Panthers, Rutgers, Virginia, West Virginia, Youngstown State and Akron.
"Akron was my latest offer. I picked that one up some time last week," Grimm said. "As of now Pitt and Penn State are recruiting me the hardest but things have slowed down a little bit. I haven't been in contact with a lot of coaches lately. It's probably because of signing day and the schools wanted to finish with the senior class."
Though Grimm has received plenty of interest from the Nittany Lions, they have yet to extend him an offer.
"I still think Penn State will be the next school to offer me," he said. "I'm going to take a visit there on February 23."
Grimm helped Bethel Park to a 7-4 record last season.
