Grimes talks about his first official

Tony Grimes is a very good three-star cornerback prospect from Hollywood Hills High School in south Florida. Grimes, 5-11 and 166 pounds, recently made his first official visit with his teammate, defensive end Clarence Murphy.
"I went to Maryland with Clarence when they played Virginia (10-16)," Grimes said. "Honestly, I didn't expect to be as good as it was. I mean I had a good interaction with the coaches and players. The academics are great and so is the campus life. Plus, I think I can come in and play early. It took me by surprise. They are in it for sure."

Despite the good visit to Maryland, another team still leads for Grimes. In fact, they were one of the early teams on this cornerback.
"Michigan is kind of my leader. Michigan is n a rebuilding process with their new coaching staff. I have a good connection with all the coaches. I liked what I saw there when I was there this summer. The players are great and I love the Big House. There are also over 500,000 alumni still living. So that's a lot of great connections after school is done where I could always get a job."
The Wolverines are also recruiting his friend and teammate and they will also likely make two more visits together.
"We both have offers from just about the same schools. We are considering visiting West Virginia and Oregon."
Grimes and Murphy will both officially visit Michigan on November 20th.
Hollywood Hills lost a close game this past Friday to Stranahan 20-17. That means they just lost the district championship. They are now 3-4 and face Hallandale this weekend.
"I am playing pretty well. I am helping my team out on offense (running back and wide receiver) and returning kicks. I am a more mature player and a student of the game. I am a leader out there too. I feel like I am ready for the next level but I am taking it day by day."
Grimes currently has 40 tackles and four interceptions.
