Sacramento (Calif.) Inderkum defensive lineman Greg Grimes recently visited San Diego State and had a great time. His next visit will be to Pac 10 country and the talented lineman is hoping an offer could soon follow.
Grimes, 6-1, 285 pounds is one of the state's top defensive tackle prospects and was the MVP among the DLs at the NorCal NIKE Camp. SDSU and Utah State have both offered and seveal other schools are showing heavy interest.
"I just set up my visit with Arizona State for (Jan. 11)," Grimes said. "The offer coould come this Friday or Monday. Right now, the coaches are focusing on the Holiday Bowl but Coach Christian said the offer should be come as soon as the DC and DL coach get together after the game.
"I may also take a visit to Utah State (Jan. 18) and I'm hearing a lot from Washington, Washington State, Oregon, Cal, Boise Sate and Oregon State as well. I like ASU a lot and it would be cool to play alongside a player like Lawrence Guy who has already committed there.
"My senior film is starting to get out so I'm excited to see who else wants to trip me in. Right now, I'm just going to go through the recruiting process and see how everything plays out."
