Grimes sets first official visit

Sacramento (Calif.) Inderkum defensive lineman Greg Grimes is hearing from a host of schools right now and recently set up his first official visit.
Grimes, 6-1, 285 pounds had a big senior season and the awards are starting to fly in for him. He was just named the Tri-County Conference Player of the Year as well as 1st team All-Metro by the SacBee.

Grimes finished the season with 94 tackles, five sacks, six forced fumbles and recovered five others. He earned NIKE Camp MVP honors for the defensive line position at the camp at Stanford and is among the top defensive tackle prospects in the state.
"Right now, I'm hearing from San Diego State, Oregon, Oregon State, Washington, Nevada, Washington State and Texas A&M," Grimes said. "San Diego State has offered and I have a visit set up there for (Dec. 14).
"I'm hoping to take a few more trips and I'm also playing in our local all-star game on December 22. I would like to make my decision by the middle of January if possible."
