Grimes keeping his options open

Sacramento (Calif.) Inderkum defensive lineman Greg Grimes was set to visit Arizona State this past weekend. Unfortunately for Grimes, ASU filled up on tackles and now he's looking at other options.
Grimes, 6-1, 285 pounds is an intriguing line prospect who has been a dominant player on both sides of the ball the last two years. This past season, Grimes was named his league's Player of the Year and he also earned all-area honors as well.

Grimes has taken official visits to San Diego State and Utah State and was expected to check out ASU this past weekend.
"They called last Wednesday or Thursday and said they didn't have any more spots left," Grimes said. "I guess they over offered players at my position and after getting some commitments at defensive tackle, they just didn't have any more spots left.
"It was disappointing but that's how it goes. I had a great trip to Utah State and liked it there a lot. The players are very close and I like how everyone hangs together there. I know I would be happy there and I think I could come in and play early there as well.
"I don't have any other trips set up but a lot of schools are still calling the house. UCLA and Texas both have shown interest nd I've also heard from Washington State, Boise State and Hawaii.
"I just want to see how interested those schools are. I would like to take two more visits or I could decide between San Diego State and Utah State but hopefully I can take trips these last two weekends and then make my decision."
