Grigsby lines up trip No. 1

Oceanside (Calif.) El Camino has churned out its fair share of talented defensive backs over the years, including NFL first-round draft picks Bryant Westbrook and Michael Booker. Reggie Grigsby Jr., who is a 6-foot, 183-pound safety prospect, hopes to be the next in that line to the NFL.
But first Grigsby has to finish his senior season and pick a college.

He’s already well on his way to choosing a school. He is slated to make his first official visit this weekend to Washington State. He also has set up a visit with Arizona State for Dec. 7. Colorado, Kansas State and Oklahoma are also involved.
The Buffs are the clear leader.
“They stuck by me when I was having some academic problems at first,” Grigsby said. “They were also the first school to offer (a scholarship) and I like coach (Gary) Barnett and his staff.”
Grigsby has yet to schedule an official visit to Boulder but has already been to the CU campus twice.
“I like them a lot. Somebody would have to do a lot to get my eyes turned away from Colorado.”
The Cougars and Sun Devils have offered a scholarship to Grigsby in an attempt to turn those eyes elsewhere.
