Roanoke (Va.) William Fleming linebacker Darryl Gresham, Jr. is reaping the rewards of having a great showing at the NIKE Camp at Charlottesville last month. Gresham, one of the top prospects in Virginia, now has seven scholarship offers and many believe that this is just the beginning for the talented linebacker.
"I know have scholarship offers from Virginia, Virginia Tech, Maryland, Florida, Tennessee, Clemson, and North Carolina," said the 6-foot-3, 230-pound 'backer who runs the 40-yard dash in 4.7 seconds.
Does Gresham have a favorite at this point?
"I do not have leader. I am just taking everything at this point and I am trying to learn as much about each school as possible."
What does Gresham look for in a school?
"I want to go somewhere that I know will help me improve as person, as a student, and as an athlete."
Last season was Gresham's first season at linebacker after spending his sophomore year as a tight end. Gresham did not disappoint. He racked up 178 tackles, six sacks, and four forced fumbles.
