Green Wave lead for Florida TE

Tallahassee (Fla.) Lincoln tight end Craig Gelhardt has two schools at the top of his list as he draws near a decision.
“My top two are Tulane and Central Florida,” he said. “I’m taking my visit to Tulane this weekend (1/16) and I’ll be going to UCF next weekend (1/23).

“I’m still getting calls from UConn and Middle Tennessee wanting me to visit, but I’m not sure if I’m going to have time to do any more.”
He had previously scheduled visits with Clemson and Louisville, but both schools informed him that they had filled their needs at his position.
Gelhardt (6-4, 230, 4.7) said the Green Wave are his current favorite.
“I like Tulane a lot,” he said. “It’s a great school first of all. They have a great academic reputation. And I love the coaches. I’ve heard a lot of good stuff about them. Plus, New Orleans is a pretty neat town.
“UCF is a close second right now. My brother goes there. They have a nice engineering school and a nice business school, two things I’m thinking about as far as my education is concerned. I’m pretty familiar with their campus, having been down there so much. It’s a nice location, close to home.”
