Green still has Hokies on top

It has been hard to get Conway, S.C. offensive guard/defensive tackle Hivera Green to name a leader during the recruiting process, but not only has he chosen a leader, but had a solid leader for nearly a month.
“I had the chance to go to the Virginia Tech game when they played West Virginia earlier this month and I was really impressed with everything up there,” Green said. “The atmosphere was really great and they took it to West Virginia who is a really good team.”

The 6-foot-5, 271-pound Green was impressed with the Hokies enough to name them his leader, but they do have some stiff competition.
“Virginia Tech is my leader right now, but I’m looking real hard at Tennessee, Clemson, Kansas State and South Carolina,” Green said. “I really like the style of defense that Tennessee plays. Tennessee and South Carolina are close to home and have good programs. I don’t know a whole lot about Kansas State, but I want to take an official visit out there and find out more about them.”
During his junior campaign Green recorded 134 tackles, 19 tackles for loss and five sacks. He was named to the all-region squad for his efforts.
