Green starting to hit his stride

Zachary Green performed well at the New Level Athletics Elite 7on7 in Las Vegas and the Los Angeles NIKE Camp so the Ventura (Calif.) St. Bonaventure running back hopes to see his recruitment take off soon.
"I was doing really well," Green said of the NIKE Camp. "I felt like I got it after the passing drills. Michael Hutchings called me out in front of everyone and I went up and I just jammed him. After that I was just killing it the whole day.

"I'm getting more comfortable. I'm hopeful my recruitment picks up and I think this will help it a lot."
Green, a 5-foot-9, 210-pound three-star prospect, is visiting Arizona this weekend and then will take an unofficial trip to USC as well. The Wildcats have offered and Green said USC, Alabama, LSU and Boston College are all showing interest.
The upcoming trips to Arizona and USC could be crucial as Green's recruitment moves forward.
"I'm really excited because (USC) is down on running backs this year, too, so I could actually get some playing time," Green said. "The last few years they were stacked at running back but now they need some so that's a real consideration to go there.
"(Arizona) was the first to offer me and I've talked to the coaches and they said they're taking three running backs this year. I have to see my choices."
Green's plan is to wait things out until after spring practice at his high school. That way college coaches can come see him work out and the three-star running back will figure out if he's going to land any other offers.
At this point, the Ventura St. Bonaventure standout would like to make his decision sometime before the season.
"After spring practice when all the coaches come out and everything and somebody offers I'll make my decision after spring practice is over and before the season starts," Green said. "I want to give the coaches time to come out and see me."
