Green makes the call

It has been a whirlwind couple of weeks for Portland (Ore.) Central Catholic quarterback Nick Green. After taking a series of official visits, the standout signal caller has decided to sign with Air Force.
Green, 6-3, 190 pounds has been on our radar since the end of his sophomore season. He shined at the NIKE Camp prior to his junior season and huge things were expected from him. Unfortunately, he tore his ACL and missed his entire junior season.

Green came back strong this past year and drew interest from several schools. He took all five official visits checking out Air Force, Army, Portland State, Montana State and Northern Arizona before picking Air Force Monday night.
"I was a tough decision and I really liked all the schools I visited. In the end, I made a list of all the things that were most important to me and Air Force came out on top.
"I was looking at things like my relationship with the quarterback coach, how I would fit in as a player, the education, how hard do the players work in the off-season. Those were just a few, there were other things too but Air Force was the place that ended up being the best fit for me.
"Right now, I may play at the prep school my first year and then compete for the starting the job my second year in the program. I'll still have five years to play four and playing next year against Junior College players will be good for me since I missed my whole junior season.
"I'm excited to be going to Air Force and I know I made a good pick. Montana State made things interesting and I liked Portland State a lot too but like I said, in the end, Air Force was the best place for me and I'm looking forward to signing tomorrow."
