Green looks to ACC, SEC

Defensive end Hivera Green has established himself as one of the tougher linemen in the Palmetto State, and he's pulling in offers from big-time programs. While he's not ready to narrow things down yet, schools from two conferences have caught his attention.
"The schools in the ACC and SEC are just top-notch," said Green. "I like a lot of schools in those conferences like Clemson, South Carolina, Tennessee, NC State, Georgia, Auburn, UNC and there will probably be some others. If I had to guess right now I'd say it's a pretty good bet I'll end up playing in one of those two leagues. If a Michigan or someone really separates themselves that could change, but right now I like those two leagues.

"It would be nice to stay in this area, this part of the country. I like the culture here and everyone puts a real big emphasis on football."
The 6-foot-5, 255-pound end from Conway, S.C. runs the 40-yard dash in 4.8 seconds. His teammate, Eric Huggins, is looking at some of the same schools Green is, but the two won't necessarily end up at the same school.
"That would be nice, and I'm sure that's something we'll take into consideration. Going to a school and knowing somebody well that you'll be spending a lot of time with. But we each have to make the best decision for ourselves."
As a junior defensive end, Green recorded 134 tackles and five sacks. With his size and strength, Green is better against the run than most defensive ends in high school.
