Green lands Michigan State offer

Woodbury (Minn.) East Ridge 2016 quarterback Seth Green has been going through the recruiting process with Michigan State for several months, and on Monday the Spartans offered.
"When they make their rounds out at the schools I talked to them," Green said. "They were a program I was interested in so I kept in contact with them throughout the summer and went out, camped and toured the campus."

Green found out about the offer on Monday during a phone call with head coach Mark Dantonio.
"Since it's Sept. 1 they can contact you through social media, so the coach DM'd me and told me to call him sometime today," Green said. "When I called him we were talking about the season and how the summer was and then they offered me.
"It was very exciting, especially being one that I worked for. Also, coming from the head coach it made me feel like their whole program was behind the decision."
Having already visited Michigan State and researching the program over the last few months, several aspects about the Spartans stand out to Green.
"They've been really successful in the recent past and their goals are to continue to be that successful, if not better," Green said. "With that, it is a really good situation and program to be a part of."
Green will be looking at Michigan State's schedule to see if he can find a weekend to attend one of their home games this fall. In the meantime, though, he will see the Spartans play an away game this upcoming Saturday when he travels to Oregon, another school that has offered.
"That's going to be a great time," Green said. "I loved it the first time, so I'll get to know it a little bit more and get a feel for the game day atmosphere."
Green will fly out to Oregon Saturday morning following his team's big match up with Cretin-Derham Hall and Rivals250 class of 2015 defensive end Jashon Cornell on Friday.
The 6-foot-2, 203-pound Green kicked off his junior season this past weekend by throwing for 307 yards and three touchdowns, with a rushing touchdown as well in a 49-0 win.
