Green keeps open mind

MORE: Davis takes in Mississippi State
D'Iberville (Miss.) 2016 safety Jaquelle Green has made a name for himself as a defensive playmaker and as a result he has the full attention of college coaches across the region. On Saturday he showed off his abilities at Ole Miss, and he enjoyed his time in Oxford.

"There was a lot of competition," Green said. "The coaches said they weren't expecting a lot of people to be here, but it was a full house. So we had a lot of competition and we were going at it a lot. I enjoyed it."
There were a few aspects of the atmosphere which caught his attention.
"We were into it, especially the DBs in one-on-ones," Green said. "We had college students come out here and watch us do it and they were jumping everywhere and excited to see everybody play in one-on-ones. It was exciting."
The summer may be nearing a close, but he has a couple of trips he hopes to make before focusing on the 2014 football season.
"I know I'm supposed to visit LSU next weekend and I'm going to try and take a visit to Georgia before the summer ends," Green said.
The recruiting process is already in full swing and he has a few offers, all from the SEC, on the table at this early point.
"I have LSU, Auburn, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, and Georgia," Green said. "They're all good schools to me. When it comes to signing day it's just going to be that one day."
His first offer came from LSU and he admitted early on he grew up a fan of the Tigers. However, when it comes to the recruiting process, he is not ready to declare a leader.
"I am not going to say someone is at the top," Green said. "I'm just going to say I'm open to anybody. I'm open."
