Green impresses at Northwestern

Minneapolis, (Minn.) cornerback prospect Marcellus Green (5-foot-10, 170 pounds) was one of several impressive prospects at last Friday's Northwestern University's one-day camp in Evanston.
"I really liked everything at Northwestern," Marcellus Green said. "The camp was sort of short overall, but I was able to get some good reps in. The camp was short time-wise, but I was able to also get a lot out of the camp. I'm glad I made the trip to Evanston for the camp. It was a lot of fun."

"The coaches at Northwestern talked to me after the camp, and they were very straight-forward with me. They want to see me play at 170-175 pounds this fall, and I'm going to work really hard the rest of the summer to add a few more pounds. They also said that they will be keeping tabs on me this fall."
Green, who camped this summer at Wisconsin, Minnesota, Notre Dame, Iowa and Northwestern talked about his summer camps goals.
"One of my goals heading into the college camps was to try to improve my overall game, and I also wanted to see how I matched up with players from all over the Midwest and the country. I feel that I was able to prove that I could play with some really good players this summer. I gained some really good confidence from those camps, and I'm planning to take that confidence into my senior season."
Does Green have any early favorites?
"Ball State has offered me, and I'm planning to check them out this fall for a game. I also really like Wisconsin and Notre Dame at this point, and I'm also looking hard at UCLA as well this summer. Those would be my early favorites at this point."
"I'm going to wait until the middle of the fall at the earliest to make any type of decisions. Several schools are going to re-evaluate me off of my senior tape, so I'm going to wait and see how things go for me in the fall."
