Green focused on three

Three schools stand out for Toledo (Ohio) Central Catholic three-star linebacker Chris Green, while a fourth is still in the picture as his ideal decision timeframe draws near.
"Cincinnati, Illinois and Indiana - they are all about even," Green said. "I have talked to Illinois' coach more than most of the schools put together so I can tell they are interested."

The fourth school that could still factor into Green's recruitment is his hometown Toledo Rockets.
"I don't want to downgrade Toledo at all," Green said. "That is the closest school and I feel I can get good playing time at Toledo."
Green plans to see all four schools this summer. He has already scheduled visits with Cincinnati for July 18, Toledo July 25 and Illinois July 28. He has yet to set a date to see Indiana.
"Cincinnati is not too far away. They are not Big Ten, but they are also ranked higher in their division than Indiana and Illinois are in their division. My coach told me he trusts coach Clink (Steve Clinkscale), so I figure if he can trust him, I can trust him.
"Indiana and Illinois are two good schools also. I have a chance to play at both schools. I do want to take visits first, though, because I don't want to commit to a school I haven't visited before."
If all goes according to Green's plan, these upcoming visits will put him in a position to make a commitment before the summer is out.
"I would like to make a decision before my senior season so I will know and be set," Green said. "If it doesn't happen, I will wait until I find what is best for me."
The 6-foot, 226-pound Green is ranked as the No. 17 inside linebacker prospect in the 2015 class and the No. 21 player in the state of Ohio.
