Rasheem Green is having a monster season. His offer list continues to grow and the 2015 defensive lineman from Gardena (Calif.) Serra has yet to finish his junior year.
Green, a 6-foot-5, 270-pound four-star standout who looked good this summer at the Rivals100 Five-Star Challenge in Chicago, is doing an incredible job according to Serra coach Scott Altenberg, and his recruitment has taken off.
"He's a freak of nature," Altenberg said. "He's just a big kid, too. That's the funny thing about him. I was telling my coach and my strategies and it's like I'm dealing with my nine-year-old because he's so giddy and we have so much fun. He's a kid at heart.
"He plays with such a motor. He's just fine-tuning his craft, that's what is big for him. His upside is phenomenal."
LSU is the latest to offer Green, who also has Cal, Florida, Florida State, Ole Miss, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Tennessee, UCLA, USC, Utah, Vanderbilt and Washington on his list.
The 2015 standout has said this season that Florida, Washington, UCLA and USC make up his top four, but the recruiting process has just started for the Serra recruit. Many more offers might be on the way.
"He's a slam dunk five-star in my opinion," Altenberg said. "I'm thinking of a d-lineman as good as him that I've personally seen and none come to mind. Then again, I'm not sure how many d-linemen I've seen. I think he is. He cannot be blocked and this is against good lines.
"Teams are doing things just to stay away from him. When you see good teams altering their complete game plan to avoid him you know that's a big thing."
