Green closing in on decision

Toledo (Ohio) Central Catholic three-star linebacker Chris Green just finished up visits to his top two schools, and is nearing a final decision.
"It's getting down to the wire," Green said. "I'm down to Illinois and Indiana right now.

"I just went to visit Indiana and I visited Illinois a week before that. I had a good time at both places and now I'm just trying to figure out what can I get from one place I can't get at the other and overall where can I get the best fit with the coaches and the players."
Before Green renders his final decision, however, he plans to make a return visit to Indiana in 10 days.
"I'm going to Indiana for an official visit the 15th and the 16th," Green said. "I'm going to stay with the some of the teammates in the dorm room."
Green has not scheduled an official visit to Illinois yet, but will take one if he returns from Bloomington still uncommitted after his official visit.
"If I get to the point where I am on my official visit and decide that's where I want to go, I will commit there," Green said. "If I commit there, I won't take an official visit to Illinois."
The most recent visit to Indiana took place this past weekend and was joined on the visit by his mother.
"My mom loved Indiana. I felt she was about to commit for me on the spot," Green said. "We went around the campus and she asked all about the campus and the academic questions. She was amazed by everything."
Indiana and Illinois are recruiting the 6-foot, 226-pound Green as a middle linebacker. He is ranked as the No. 17 player at that position in the 2015 class and registered 97 tackles during the 2013 season.
