Grayson 2019 crew liked what they saw in Knoxville

Although Tennessee had double-digit official visitors in the 2018 class on campus this weekend, Jeremy Pruitt and his staff also spent time with six class of 2019 stars out of powerful Grayson program in the state of Georgia.

Kevin Harris, Kenyon Jackson, Wanya Morris, Owen Pappoe, Ronald Thompkins and Kenyatta Watson spent Saturday in Knoxville and they share their thoughts on their visit.

Harris: "I haven't visited Tennessee in a year, so when I got there everything was different. There was a whole new coaching staff that I had to become familiar with and a new vibe to the program. I sat down and had conversation with as many coaches as I could, but I spent majority of my time studying film with coach Rumph, the OLB coach. He's a cool person and hanging out with him was the highlight of my visit. I think coach Pruitt and the Vols will turn program around in these next couple of years."

Jackson: "I really enjoyed it. I like what Tennessee has going on and they impressed me. The vibe was different because you know, I never had the offer before yesterday so they definitely showed more love."

Morris: "I loved it up there. The great people and all. They really just made feel like I was home and my mom fell in love with it. Coach Pruitt is on to something. There’s gonna be a turn around there. This visit moved Tennessee up my list."

Pappoe: "I like the new staff. I already knew a majority of them from the previous schools they were at so I was comfortable from the start. My favorite part of the visit was watching film with coach Sherrer and I think coach Pruitt will have success with this program and help turn things around."

Thompkins: "The new coaches are full of energy and they have new thoughts and they see different ways to be successful. Just hanging out with the new staff getting to know everyone was my highlight of the visit. I feel like because coach Pruitt been with Alabama and Nick Saban that he already has the recipe to win."

Watson: "I think the new staff is better as they have coached with each other before or played with each other, so the connection between them all is much better. The highlight of my visit was probably going to the basketball game — and I don’t even like watching basketball. Now that coach Pruitt’s in charge, I think the Vols can be back on a path to greatness. I think they can get to how they were before — at the top competing with Alabama, Georgia, Florida and other SEC teams to win the national championship. The vibe was different too. It felt more family oriented."
