Gray has first two offers

Stonewall (La.) North DeSoto defensive end Hakim Gray was somewhat of an unknown when he attended the Dallas Nike Camp last month. However, since that time the 6-foot-4, 235-pound defender has seen his stock rise.
Recently Gray received his first offer from an SEC program.

"Mississippi State was the first school to offer me a couple weeks ago," Gray said on Tuesday evening. "My coach told me. It was a really big thing. They called my coach and told him they wanted to offer me. I talked to them before they offered but I haven't really gotten to since they offered just yet."
Gray's second offer quickly followed suit.
"I just found out today that Tulane was offering me," he said. "He came out of nowhere. I wasn't expecting it at all. He just showed up to the school and he asked me who had offered me. I told him Mississippi State and he said, 'You can make us No. 2 because we're offering you too.'"
A few other schools are showing heavy interest in Gray as well.
"I know Louisiana Tech is supposed to be coming by the school in the spring," he said. "ULL is supposed to come and look at me too."
Gray has yet to unofficially visit either Mississippi State or Tulane but he hopes to change that relatively soon.
"I haven't visited either place yet at all," he said. "I'm going to try to go to camps at both places this summer though."
As a junior Gray tallied 65 tackles, nine sacks and another eight tackles for loss.
