The 5-foot-11, 190-pound standout is scheduled to visit Arizona State the weekend of Jan. 17, and will then head to Cincinnati the weekend of Jan. 24. He is also planning to take an official visit to Mississippi State.
"We're still working on a visit out there, but it's going to be during the week," Gray said.
Gray said Arizona State and Mississippi State are currently at the top of his list.
"(It's) just the relationship I have with the coaches and the players, and when I go to the games I saw a lot of stuff that made me feel good," Gray said.
And while he likes a lot of what he sees in Arizona State, it's Mississippi State that's currently in the lead to land his services.
"I've just been talking to them for the longest, and the recruiting process has been strong the whole time," Gray said.
While he does have a leader and he does like a couple of schools, Gray is not rushing into a decision. He does have an idea about when he would like to reach a final choice though.
"I'm going to make my decision off my visits when I'm finished with them," Gray said.
