Grant talks recent visit, upcoming plans

Dade City (Fla.) Pasco three-star wide receiver Janarion Grant has taken one visit this summer.
"I went to USF and that is the only one I have gone to for right now," Grant said. "I went there about a week ago."

The 5-foot-9, 165-pound wide receiver talks about his visit to check out the Bulls.
"I met a lot of the coaches but I walked around with the wide receivers coach, Coach (Jerome) Pathon," Grant said. "He was showing me everything. We went through the facility. He was talking about what they do and how they use some of their players. He took me on a tour of the campus."
During the visit, the Sunshine State wide receiver sat down with head coach Skip Holtz and discussed his role in the offense if he were to end up a Bull.
"I then met with Coach (Skip) Holtz," Grant said. "We sat down and watched my film. We talked about how they are looking for a player to use like me and that they are losing one. That is what they need me for. They think I can fill that spot. They like me a lot."
Grant, who claims offers from Ball State, Connecticut, East Carolina, Indiana, Iowa State, Massachusetts, Middle Tennessee, Rutgers, South Florida, West Virginia, and Western Kentucky, enjoyed his time at the local school.
"I was impressed by USF," Grant said. "It was a real nice visit."
Despite the good visit, Grant isn't on the verge of a decision.
"I am still open to everybody," Grant said. "I haven't really narrowed it down yet. I want to see who else offers me."
Grant said that upcoming visits come down to having adequate transportation. He is hoping to check out a few of the other schools that have offered him before making his decision.
"I would like to go see West Virginia, East Carolina, and Rutgers," Grant said. "I might have to wait until I can take my official visits to see those schools."
As for a decision timeline, Grant says he likely won't announce until the latter part of the recruiting cycle.
"I want to decide at the end of my senior year or around National Signing Day," Grant said.
As a junior, Grant amassed more than 1,800 total yards and 28 touchdowns. As a wide receiver, he had 48 receptions for 960 yards and 18 touchdowns.
