He talked a bit about Mark Dantonio's Spartans and where he sees that program going in the future.
"The Spartans are a program on the rise," Grant said. "They had a pretty good season, going 11-2, but they got crushed in their bowl game. They showed against a strong schedule by having a strong season."
As for Jim Tressel and the Buckeyes, they are a program that Grant finds to be consistently amongst the nation's best.
"With the Buckeyes, they are a strong contender every season, year-in and year-out, they are always good," Grant said. "They are consistent and play good ball."
The 5-foot-10, 171-pound defensive back said both schools share a lot of similar qualities.
"I like both schools because of the atmosphere at both places and I feel comfortable at both places," Grant said. "I have a great relationship with both coaches."
As for the decision, it has already been made.
"It is just about where I know in my heart that I want to be at," Grant said. "I know that now."
Grant said he intends to allow his mother to put the hat of the school of his choice upon his head during his announcement on Wednesday.
